  1. my previous encoding best for encoding one of my DVD's that i previously encoded to DiVX was about 1Hr 20 minutes.

    I have just installed my new 2.8c @ 3.7Ghz chip in my IC7, and enabled HT in TMPGEnc, and the same film is encoding now and says 35 minutes left and it just started lol

    anyone interested in encoding BUY A HT PIV

    PS which codec do i need to open Xvid avi files in virtuadub?

  2. Yep, changed my old AMD 900 MHz to a P4 2,4 GHz and cut encoding times for both video and audio... Especially Dolby Digital audio.

    I am going from an AMD Athlon XP 2000 to a P4 2.8, I am just waiting on the rest of my things to arrive (should be tuesday) to finish the system.

    The P4 2.4 overclocks so sweet. Stock cooling and it runs 24/7 @ 3.0 - Just make sure you get good RAM
