I have a Philips CDRW804 and I have been using 80min CD-R since I purchased. I called Philips today and asked about 90 min CD-Rs and whether it was compatable. The guy said he would not recommend it, and he also said that he said that Philips does not recommend 80 min CD-Rs either. They only recommend 74 min CD-R. What??? It's getting to where it's almost impossible to find 74 min CD-Rs. The extra 6 minutes goes a long way. I told the guy that all I have ever used is 80 min CD-Rs and he was still like "well, we don't recommend it". He said that 80 min media causes more problems with buffer under runs and errors. OK?

I also have an 804 and have used nothing other than 80 min. Never had any problems.

Yep, I've never had a problem either. I thought I had a bad CDRW until I changed from the Easy CD Creator to NERO. I have burned several 80min CD-R without any erros.
