  1. Hi, i'm using studio 8 to caputere home movies ,But the problem is that i only can get 2 hours of movie in one one dvdr. as the most tapes are 3 houres long, i can make 2 dvdr but is it possible to make it one one dvdr/

    I dont know maby is possible to capture all the movie and the convert them to mpeg2 and the autohor it in dvdmaestro.

    has onyone done this before??????

  2. I did that in the past using NeoDVD Plus to capture directly as mpeg2 then have Neo convert the files onto my hard drive then I used DVD2one to make them fit onto a single DVDR.

    If Studio 8 can use TMPGEnc files, have you tried the guide that reduces the bit rate to make it fit on your DVD?

    you can capture to avi and encode to mpeg-2 yourself, setting your own bit rates to give you whatever file size you like, or you can find a direct-to-mpeg2 capture application that will allow you to set your own bitrates, so you can fit more on a disc.

  5. A reminder... 352*480/576 is an allowed resolution for DVD's, and it will give you a very pleasent result eventough it's not full resolution, but it will require less bitrate to give a clean picture...
