Ok, I ripped Tommy Boy and Black Sheep, there both layer 1. I used dvd decrypter and made an .iso and then burned it, they both play fine. I know am trying to make another copy of each, so i went back into dvd decrypter and do the same thing. Both movies get to 98% and then have read errors. Whats going on with it? Any ideas?
Thanks.

The movies can play fine, and the media can still be garbage.

That happens to me sometimes as well, even on high quality media (TDKs, Riteks and Verbatims). Rip it in SmartRipper as suggested and that is likely to solve your problem - solves mine all the time. If not, just hit Cancel and don't delete the ISO. Burn it anyway and you should be fine - I do that sometimes when I'm lazy and it hasn't killed anyone yet.

Sounds like a media problem. DVD players are supposed to be forgiving of various types of errors - you'll usually see a short glitch in a movie but it will go on playing (I got that on a DVD-RW with Catch Me If You Can). The problem arises when you are trying to read the files on a computer which will call a read error even if one bit is wrong an cannot be recovered.
You can use CDCheck (http://www.elpros.si/CDCheck/), a freeware for personal use, to verify media for data errors.
Presto, I had not been successful in duplicating media with errors - I'll try Smartripper - thanks for the tip.
