  1. Has Anybody found dvd-r media that works with the dru-510a burner.
I`ve tried datawrite red [80% failure] and verbatim 2x [50% failure].
I`m using the latest firmware but i keep getting the same write errors.
    This is getting expensive!

I haven't burned a *lot* of disks (not enough to give a % failure/success rate), but I have had no problems with Memorex 1x and Princo 1x (identified by Compusa as FMI).

In addition to the above-mentioned 1X Princos and 1X Memorex (CMC), both DVD-R, I have since burned DVD-Rs by Ritek 4X, Memorex (CMC) 4X, and TDK 2X. I have also burned Maxell DVD+R 2.4X and Memorex DVD+R and Memorex DVD+RW.
    All burned successfully.

  8. Best buy had an awesome sale on TDK 4x DVD+4. I've burned at least 20 dvd's already at 4x, and I haven't gotten a single problem yet.

  9. I use Accus, work perfect. 1x Accus read @ 2x on the Sony with the right firmware (e or better)

btw, meritline.com can tell you what to use on your machine. Accus are like under $1 each
