  1. What can I do to improve the quality of my video after encoded with Dazzle DVD Complete?
    When I try it on my regular DVD player the image is not very good.

    Which one is betterazzle DVD Complete or Sonic MyDVD?

    Thank You

    Okay... I'll bite.

    1) Dazzle products are notoriosly bad
    2) All you need to know is in the guides at the left OR
    3) search the forum

    As for the "which is better" question;

    These types of questions are always subjective and are never taken seriously by anyone.

    I'm not "flaming" you. The reason no one else answered this question is because of how it was asked. There's also the possibility that no one knows because Dazzle products have such a bad reputation that no one else is using them.

    My advice? If you can take the Dazzle product back for a refund, then do so and then read this board to see what others recommend... but don't ask which is the "best" because it's another subjective question that will either be ignored or pointless because it's lost in the din of user opinions supporting THEIR favorites.

    Good luck!

    I can tell you that MyDVD video captures and subsequent encoding is worthless .. that is the final product is so poor (looks like LARGE newspaper print dots) it is not worth keeping. Writing directly from VHS to DVD usually hangs and crashes .... so that's worthless. Support isn't all that hot and my last begging question to support was never answered, even though I'm a registed user. However if you capture with Virtualdub and drag the avi in it looks pretty good, and if you have chapters it will play straight through all. If you create slide shows it stops on each chapter ..... but if you are using avi video clips it plays straight through all. If you have a large number of pictures you have to create several slide shows because there is a limit of 99 pictures per slide show. That sucks. You can get around it by creating your slide shows in Adobe Premier and exporting the timeline as an avi ... so it ends up as a video playing out the slide show. Which works out pretty nice with music, opening and closing titles, fades, etc. MyDVD crashes a lot (in XP anyway) so be sure to ALWAYS do a "Save As" so you will have a backup. Overall MyDVD gets about a "5" out of 10 in my opinion, but it's useful for some things.
