  1. I'm trying to go in reverse. I have a movie file, it is a rip of a DVD and is very good quality. The crazy thing is, it fits on one regular CD when burned as a VCD, and I can't figure out how the guy did it. The movie file was encoded using TMPGEnc using some custom template. Is there a way to determine the template settings that were used in TMPGEnc to encode this movie?

If you right click over the video icon in Video Studio, and select properties, it will show you something like this:

    Hello.

  3. Do you think (or know) that this will display every necessary setting in TMPGEnc? If it does, that'd be great, because like I said, the encoding job this guy did is pretty sweet, especially because it fits on one CD-R.

    Thanks for helping!

No, it will not. But if you want to know how to setup TMPGEnc to encode a capture with TMPGEnc, you want to use these settings.

And you can always use this guide to make sure your video fits on one CD.
    Hello.

  5. I think what I said was a little confusing. I'm not trying to capture with TMPGEnc, but rather figure out how the guy got such great quality to fit on one VCD disc. So basically I'm trying to "recreate" his template (without knowing what settings he used). Your screenshot post looks as if video studio could provide many of the details I'm looking for.
Anyone else got some programs to recommend?

    Thanks for helping!
