    Hi,

I read and tried some of the sticky post on capturing web videos, but my objective is not to capture the video but to just determine what type(Flash, etc.), codec, fps, bitrate, etc. is for the content.

Does this mean I need to capture it first or is there a tool to just show those parameters? If it helps, I have Flash CS3 . I have not been able to capture the typical video of interest as yet.

    thanks for any suggestions,
    fred

If you can retrieve the video from your browsers cache, then you can run GSpot on it to determine its properties. Alternatively, Orbit can fake off being your browser and capture the video while you are playing it.

Which web video have you not be able to save?

    dnix71,

    Thanks very much,

I was able to get at the browser cache, I had not thought of that. Also, GSpot worked well on the file and gave me the info.
