i know these card are just video capture cards, but i was wondering how you capture the audio while capturing the video with these cards. is there some kind of control within their software that controls the sound card. i am thinking about purchasing one and would just like some info. also, it looked like there was no s-video input on the back of the box. is there? i have read in some forums that people use s-video with one, maybe both, of these. thanks for any help.

Hi ya,
I've got a WinTV Primo and a ATI Radeon VIVO setup. The audio should sort itself out when you capture stuff. As far as I can tell the WinTV shuts off the sound unless the application is running, unfortunately the Radeon doesn't which means you have to remember to switch the video (or what ever) off until you use it.
I've never really come across a problem with this setup.
All the best
Andy
