My Panasonic DMR-E80 shuts off on me when watching tv. This has happened twice today. I've had it for less than a week.
I have it connected with Direct TV and my receiver.
Can anyone please help with this problem and has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Bob

You might want to check this out first. The DMR-E80H has a power-saving feature that will shut the unit down after a period of inactivity. If you're just watching TV, the unit is inactive. Check under Setup (remote button), Off Timer. You can turn this feature off, or set a certain time span for it to turn off automatically. This may not be your problem, but it would be worth a look before returning the unit.
