I have a pal (25fps) Divx file that I'm converting to NTSC (29.97fps). I'm trying to make it into a VCD.

I have demuxed the sound down to wave and converted that to mp2 using besweet and toolame.

The Dvix has be converted to an uncompessed 29.97fps avi using virtualDub.

I'm basically ready to start encoding to mpeg1 at 1150 CBR in TMPGEnc, but 1st I need to stretch the mp2 audio to fit the new video that will be 29.97fps from 25fps, so the vid and audio will be in sync.

How do I find out how much I should stretch the mp2 and how do I do it? I have Goldwave 4.26 and cool edit pro 2.0.

can anyone can give me some detailed instructions on how to do this?

  2. read the guides that in detail (with pictures) explain how to do that.

The guide does NOT go into any depth about stretching the audio.

These guides were maily for svcd pal to svcd NTSC. I have a Divx and some xvids that need to be converted.

Does anyone know where a good guide is? One that goes step by step? I'm gonna go look at doom9. Any other suggestions.

    Thanks!
