Whenever I try to install svcd2dvd or svcd2dvdmpg+ I get the following message:

This advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface option of the package to basic.

Does anyone know how to get the program to install?

    Thank you!

Are you running XP or Win2k?

It sounds as though you don't have permission, as Administrator, to install anything.

Have you logged on as Administrator, or did you cancel that step when you installed, or is it a pre-configured machine, where you can't install anything?

After you have booted, you should have the option to log on as Administrator, and install whatever you wish,

Thank you for the reply. I am using Win XP Pro and I am logged as administrator. This is a home machine on a small home network. I tried to set up another account to try and gave administrator rights to the new account but no sucess yet.
