    First of all, bought this software this week and it is great. I have a few dozen SVCD's to convert, so this prog will help me a lot to this all at once. Thanks CB.
    However, still got some questions after a lot of browsing in this forum:

    Why would I want to convert the sound to AC3? The mpa plays fine in my DVDplayer or is this to make it compatibel for any DVDplayer?
    And I find it kind of strange, that the author of BeSweet, will not allow to use their freeware in SVCD2DVD. What's the big deal here?

    In TmpGenc, the videostream will be demuxed in a m2v file. SVCD2DVD is doing this in a mpv file. Is there a difference in quality?

    Hope to get some answers.
    Greetings from the Netherlands

    AC3 is requried for NTSC DVDs (at least one stream). PAL can use both mpeg audio and AC3. Thats what the standard says but a lot of players ignore this and so mpeg audio is usually fine (especially if you are in europe)

    m2v & mpv are just different file extensions. The content of the files are still mpeg 2 video streams. The only dofference is the way the 2 programs demux but in theory the should produce the same results.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
