ripping for use in TMPGEnc DVD Author

I'm trying to make a DVD with random scenes from several other DVDs. However, I have encountered lots of problems trying to get TMPGEnc DVD Author to accept the DVD after I have ripped it to my hard drive. I am using the DVD import command, and not the file import command. Is there something different I need to do (rip certain streams, demux, etc.) to get the prog to accept my video so that I can edit it and burn it with a few others?

TMPGEnc DVD Author don't support ac3 or dts audio so it may be a problem. You could also use DVD Shrink to put together some video from different dvds, you open the dvd in dvd shrink and press reauthor and then you can drag the video you want to the new reathor window. You can open several dvds and drag them to the new reauthor window and compile a new dvd.

My apologies to Baldrick if I misunderstood his response, but from my experiences so far, TMPGEnc DVD Author does accept AC3 audio.

Edit 'cause I still can't figure out how to upload an image from hard drive.

I have also been able to use AC3 audio on a project that I did compiling my favorite trailers (downloaded) onto one DVD, but I still haven't had sucess using something that I have ripped from a DVD. Any more ideas?

I am trying to extract some comedy scenes from different DVDs and
want to put them on a single DVD. I am cutting the scenes using
DVDShrink and am trying to load them into TMPGEnc DVD Author.
So far, I couldn't succeed. Is they any guide out there about this?
Or any suggestions on doing this?

Okey...tmpgenc dvd author support ac3. What happens if you import ripped video with ac3???

I just tried add a clip I made with dvdshrink(reauthor and edit). I removed all subtitles and left only one audio track(ac3) and it worked fine to import in tmpgenc dvd author.
