  1. Hi I am trying to use TMPGEnc 2.520.54.163 to convert an XSVCD stream that I have to a VCD. I have installed an MPEG2 Codec (even though the movie played fine in WMP and PowerDVD before I did this) and when I open the file for encoding and tell it to start it will either get about 100 frames in and then just freeze the screen and start encoding audio, or tmpgenc will give an error and shut down right when I try to open the file. It seems that tmpgenc does not like XSVCD's is there another program I could use to encode the file to a vcd or any way to get tmpgenc to encode it ?

My OS is WIn XP Pro if that matters

    Thank You

    Madhatta, out

My guess is that there's something wrong with the XSVCD mpeg (that a software player can play it doesn't mean it's without errors), but I'd suggest loading the source in the mpeg2 enabled version of Virtualdub (or Avisynth), then frame serve it to TMPGEnc. Not sure that it'll help, but may work...
