Has anyone managed to encode a DVD using Nero 6 with Dolby AC-3 as the audio type? It seems to work using LPCM but if I choose AC-3 as the audio type, it crashes and tells me that it can not find the AC3 encoding dll even though the file it can't find is sitting in the Nero directory. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck. Is it bugged or am I missing some other requirement needed to encode in AC-3?

  2. Hi, Howard,

The new patch to NeroVision Express 2 fixes that AC-3 encoding issue. I tried it out yesterday (8/12) and all was cool! Finally! Sheesh, you'd think that would be a pretty *obvious* bug - makes me wonder what kind of QA system they have in place...

    Hope that helps,

    Yay!

I emailed them twice to report it and they sent me two responses that has nothing to do with the problem. Apparently the tech support guy had no idea that it did not work but if it is fixed now then at least someone at Ahead knew!
