  1. Ok, I need some help, I'm going to be burning some TV Shows onto DVD-R to take with me to a friends house. Since I can't take the original copies I made for myself on DVD-RAM with me on this visit, I was wondering, if I burn them to DVD-R on the Panasonic DMR-HS2 will we be able to watch them?

The guy has an Apex AD1010W DVD Player and I''m burning the DVD-R's on the Panasonic DMR-HS2.

    Here are my questions,

    1. Has anybody had success burning Discs from the DMR-HS2 and playing them in the Apex AD1010W? (If not I won't bother copying the DVD-RAM's to DVD-R for a simple visit, but it'd be nice if we could watch the TV Shows I recorded together, he's never seen me use the HS2 either so I want to show him the differance in the quality of his VHS Tapes and my DVD's but I need to know if they're compatible)

    2. If you've successfully burned a DVD-R in the DMR-HS2 and played it back in an APEX AD1010W, what brand of DVD-R Media was it, and how much did it cost?

    3. Finally, if nobody has tried this, what brand of DVD-R would you reccomend that's fairly cheap and will MOST LIKLEY work?

Thanks in advance for yourr tiome guys, I appricate it.

    Regards,
    Cyrax9

PS I want to take the DVD-R's with me because my buddy hasa horrible VHS Tapes, but my DVD-RAM's can be copied to DVD-R and should look fine, everybody I know has a different DVD Player, some can play my Discs when I take them withme, others can't, just curious if this is worth copying the Disc I made to take with me or if it's not doable.

Can't help you exactly, but I find my Apex 1100W to be extremely picky on burned DVD-R, and especially with burned DVD-RW media. Only real way to find out is to test a disc. And I know for a fact the only DVD-R discs the Apex would accept were name brands like Ritek, Maxell and Optodisc. It rejects Princo, CMC, Memorex and others.
