  1. I didn't want to get into another "heated" McDonald's coffee debate (No Pun Intended) but I did want to make mention of something interesting regarding Mc Donald's coffee. I did go out and get a cup of coffee from McDonald's during the last debate, and as I said, it was extremely hot. Hot enough to cause burning if I spilled it. It was clear that McDonald's isn't keeping their coffee to any specific temperature...at least not the McDonald's I go to. It was even more apparent they weren't in pretty much any McDonald's..because not only did the Coffee Cup say "Caution Hot"...but the lid said it as well.

Anyway, my point is that I hadn't been back to a Mc Donald's since that time but was there to grab breakfast yesterday. I got one of the Egg McMuffin combo's and took it with a large coffee. I don't drink Coffee often, but did yesterday. Anyway, I immediately saw that their cups has once again changed.

This time they had HOT COFFEE WARNINGS ALL OVER THE CUP IN "FOUR" COUNT EM'..."FOUR" DIFFERENT LANGUAGES! I was like WOW......anyway, just thought i'd mention this, because I found it pretty interesting. I believe the three other languages in addition to English were...Latin, French, and German.

Anyone else notice this from the coffee cups at their Mickey D's?

McDonalds coffe is luke warm compared to Tim Hortons Coffee .. it is still boiling in the cup for several minutes ... can't drink it for 1/2 hour ...

coffee experts say its good coffee (i have no idea - i like 1 day old cold stuff as much as fresh)

I've never heard of Tim Hortons Coffee..and I don't doubt it. Many places have scorching hot coffee which is the point I was making on the last Mc Donald's thread. Anyway, Mc Donald's coffee isn't "Luke Warm"...at least not down here. I don't doubt that Hortons coffee is blazing...but the McDonald's Coffee I got yesterday coudln't be sipped immediately...without a burning sensation on my tongue. It was extremely hot. If I dropped that coffee on exposed skin at the temperature it was upon immediatelyhanding me the cup...I would of caused burning to my skin...at what degree...I don't know...but I would of absolutely been burned. Luke Warm coffee wouldn't cause that type of damage and if it were luke warm, I could of gulped the coffee.

I see what you were saying now....just comparing it to coffee which would take 30 mins too cool off. I drank the MC D's coffee after about 10 minutes and it was hot..but at that time..wasn't hot enough to cause any significant damage had I spilled it. But it would of when I initially got the cup. Once I saw the 4 different language warning signs...I wanted to sip the coffee to taste how hot it was.

And yea...good point...a long time ago I really burned my tongue on one of their apple pies. I guess they cook them in the oil unlike Burger King who just microwaves their apple pies.

I have to agree with you BJ_M, Tim Horton's is about the hottest. Their biggest problem is that they don't give you a cup cozy (for lack of a better term) - they will double-cup it but you never remember till you're too far away.

  9. At Pineras I make the coffee fresh every 1 and 1/2 hours! Even If the industrial-sized coffee pot (tank, rather) is full and still warm I redo it. That averages about to 7-9 times a day!

If you are interested, we have the following flavors:
    Cafe Blend (weaker)
    Hazelnut
    Featured blend (strong) - Guatelmalan
    and others!

    So stop by!

Mmmm.. coffee with hazelnut syrup... :P :P :P
Hey, i wonder if you ask them at Maccy D's, they'll make you a 'normal' cup of coffee by way of a half cup of strong (and superheated) espresso, a shot of cold water, and a shot of milk (when it's cool enough not to mess it up)...
thats how i make my coffee at work, and it works good. still hot, but cooled enough that you wont burn either your hand or mouth on it. You can slug it quickly straight away.
