Whenever I get stuck and it happens a lot I will ask a question here. I just recently got a virus that Norton wont take care of. Its name is w32.spybot.worm. I believes it's the cause of the zillion popups that i have recently been receiving. Norton was able to delete it from several places on my comp. but unfortunately it can't handle the last instance which is located in the msconfig32.exe file. I suppose this is a critical system file. I would like to know how to get rid of the this annoying virus or if i can delete this file without causing any harm. Also is it possible for me to obtain the same file from somebody else and replace the infected msconfig32.exe with the borrowed file. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    VC
    This is so much fun!

I have read the removal response but am wondering if there is going to be a problem deleting the msconfig32.exe file. This is an important file for booting.
