Hi
I'm about to buy dvd writer and i'm just wondring, as we know all toshiba 220e owners have sync probs when we play svcd on the player if we don't burn with VCDEasy and special patch, i'm wondring if i burn svcd on a dvd disc with Nero 6 would it be same problem still? ANd if the problem is still there what should i do?
Best regards

I have read in these forums a great deal about this sync problem with the Toshiba 220. I purchased one about 6 months ago and have had no problems with SVCD`s since the word go. Perhaps I have been really lucky but I have produced many using TMPGEnc for encoding and Nero 5.5 for burning.
The only problems that has recently come to light is that US DVD`s play OK but in Black and White.
This has probably got something to do with the TV not the DVD player.
I have not really bothered to do anything about it yet.
Otherwise the 220 is really brilliant. -
Just bought the updated Tosh 330.
It has the same problem with audio-sync on SVCD. DVD-R authored from SVCD using SVCD2DVDMPG, TMPEG Author and burnt using Nero6 don't play properly. The picture only appears on the top 1/3 of the screen and is duplicated side-by-side!
Got fed up and returned it to Amazon and bought the Pioneer 360 instead. I already own a 350 and it plays everything I can throw at it.
In summary ... avoid the Tosh 330. I wrote to Toshiba and I just got their generic reply!
