  1. Hey,

I dont know if i should post this here but I was going to build my next computer and I was wondering what kind of video card to get? I was thinking about a Radeon but wasn't sure. I want something that isnt to expensive but can support at least two moniters. If anyone knows of any good ones that would be great. thanks

Best value card last time I looked was the Radeon 9500 Pro, if you can find one, its about $200 but its pretty top knotch for the price.

For that price you can also get a GeForce4 Ti4400 or better which can support two monitors. These all just use software for the second monitor so it's nowhere near as customizable as a true dual-head VGA card. You can get an older Matrox for cheaper but it won't handle the latest graphics so well. The newest Matrox is like $500. As far as Radeon vs GeForce goes I'm not going to get into it. Only the 9800 Pro and FX 5900 are even comparable, and they're both pretty damn similar. They both ring in at over $300 though.
