I am having a media player/tmpgenc issue. When I play an avi file, media player is giving me an error # C00D11CD and tells me it has no further help to give me.
When I try to encode it to Mpeg, my TMPGEnc will load it, but when I get to the souce range screen, the pic won't move...it just stays on the same frame. Does it sound like I am missing a codec or something?
AVI codec says the required codec is DivX V3 Mpeg 4 Low Motion Layer 3........I have the DivX Mpeg 4 codec 3.2 beta and the Divx Pro Codec installed.......
Please help me............

Also....one other thing...when I use g spot to check out this file, under the file info section is says it has a bad chunk in frame data...but under audio and video all the codecs are there.

First run it through DivFix and check for bad frames.

If you want to do a more accurate Video Scan download this version of Virtualdub (scroll down to "MP3-Freeze" version).

Thanks for the tip...I ran the avi thru DivX fix and got around 20000 errors!!! I was left with about 1 minute of good video. I trashed this avi file and I will look for a better one. Beware of bad files...they can drive you crazy trying to fix them.....
