Hi, I need to make a backup of my heavily watched Led Zeppelin dvd, but the thing is 8.2 gigs on the first disc and I think about the same for the second...My question is this: It has LPCM stereo for sound and it takes up a gig on its own...there is also DD 5.1 and DTS 5.1 on the disc...what is the best sound? Is LPCM THAT good to need to take up a whole gig? Has anyone backed up this set?

Here is what I found on another site.
"AC3 is just a compressed version of LCPM, the un compressed stereo equivalent."
Therefore I would say that LCPM is an uncompressed AUDIO streem. So depends, I'm sure you've listend to the other streems. You decide if it's worth keeping.
I'm not a big fan of listening to music in DTS, so I would probably only keep the LCPM and toss the rest. -
Try burning to an RW and try it out.

LPCM is uncompressed and therefore high quality, I would therefore suggest you keep the LPCM. It will only be two channels, but will have CD quality sound

Burning right now with the lpcm and the other audio's removed...I will also burn one with all 3 audio streams enabled and then one without the lpcm and the dd and dts. all to rw of course

ok: used DVD Shrink and re-authored dvd to make a movie only. added 2 audio streams.(lpcm and dd 5.1) Looks and sounds GREAT. did the same to disc 2. Now I have one more query: I want the extra's from both discs on another dvd-r, but I cant seem to figure out how to get them together onto the dvdr!! what tools should I use. Normally I just decrypt with dvddecryptor then burn with convert and burn with whatever proggy i feel like using at the moment. For this dvd set, I used dvd shrink then burned with copytodvd.
