  1. I am trying to sync the video and audio in TMPGEnc. When I try to load in a mpg 2 file, it gives me error messege stating that it's an illegal stream or that I need a dvd software installed in the computer. I already have dvd software, Cyberlinks PowerDVD, and I'm editing a mpg 2 that I captured off the tv.

And I have the registered version of TMPGEnc.

    can you help me please?

    Search Comp PM
TMPGEnc Plus will take mpeg2 streams but not with ac3 or PCM audio. It will demux and mux ac3 audio but not PCM.
Also for some strange reason, if you have any mpeg2 decoder other than Power DVD, it is very difficult to get TMPGEnc to accept mpeg2 video as an input.
Do whatever you want in Virtualdubmpeg2ac3 (download link on tools page) and then load the file in your TMPGEnc to convert to mpeg2.
If there is an easier answer, I would love to have it.
