Twice now I have used the cut and merge tool in tmpg cutting a minute or so off a svcd file I had just encoded from a dvd rip that was just a little too long. When I played them, I was surprised that only the audio ended up getting cut at the end of the file and not the audio and the video. This isn't really a big problem for me, but I wouldn't mind wondering why that is?

Sometimes TMPGEnc doesn't cut properly. In those instances, do what I do...
I'll use WOMBLE MPEG2VCR. It's got a timeline feel to it's cut tool also, which I like more for removing commercials. Only thing I haven't figured out is how to make it join, but one thing at a time! And the program documentation sucks, so you're on your own, though my guide should soon cover it in the 'edit out commercials' section.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
