Hi, used the search but didn't really get an answer.
I have several dvd's that a want to back-up(copy). They are starting to get scratched,etc.
Can i copy them to dvdr with out ripping etc. like what is done with cd to cdr?

You can ONLY, read that carefully now, ONLY if the orginal is obviously equal or less than to the size of your destination media....most common DVD-Rs are 4.7 GB, and most common movies (or all the ones I have) are bigger than 4.7 GB...therefore, in most cases, some re-encoding MAY be needed. Another route would be losing the menus, extras, etc...ripping just the video & audio...and then trying to reauthor just that those on the DVD-R...again, provided you have the size even for that.
