Hello!
Could you help me to find the easiest way to get date stamp from my MiniDv camcorder Sony through firewire while capturing video to computer ?

Depending on how you want to see the date stamp, try one of these...
1) DVSubMaker creates subtitle files from the date code of the DV tape. It can be found at http://www.divx-digest.com/software/dvsubmaker.html
I think this is shareware or even freeware.
2) CatDV is a tool for cataloging DV files. It also allows you to export the date stamp information into a text file or Quicktime movie file (can't remember which). They do have a trial version, but I don't think the trial version has this feature. This can be found at http://www.squarebox.co.uk

the tape has to be fully datestamped before ya start using it
put the lens cap on
new tape in
press record
if ya dont do this first with a new tape
alllll ya datestamps are cocked up
ya local camera shop can datestamp the tape for ya
after ya cocked it up but it'll cost ya
