    Open up the menu and go all the way to the bottom. Now go over to PBC and press the down arrow once more. The firmware version will be displayed. 7.12 allows for SVCD play and ff/rw. I can't see anyone mentioning that 7.22 does anything extra.

    Remember, upgrading

    Btw, quick trick: Hold down the osd button while a movie is playing, and a menu with audio/video/total mbits will be displayed.

    oops, train of thought was derailed.

    Remember upgrading your firmware can damage your player. Only upgrade if you need to for some feature. Read the instuctions thoroughly and follow them.

    Hi,

    Does anyone knows what is the difference between firmware 7.12 and 7.22?
    Is there any advantege in upgranding? What about the risks?
