  1. Hello!
I've just bought my first DVD writer (Pioneer A06) and two Princo DVD-RW medias. I wrote one of them and it played fine on my standalone DVD player. After that, I wrote once again and none of my readers (2 in my pc and my standalone) could read it. In my satandalone I received a message "Bad Disk" after it recognized that media as a DVD.
Then, I tried once again and same error. I decided erase completely in Nero (took me 1 hour). After that, my standalone doesn't recognize it. Now, I recieve "No disc" message.
I decided try the other Princo and it didn't work. I receive "No disc" message at first try.
Now, I'm using Verbatim 2x DVD-RW that came with my recorder and it works fine.
What's the problem? Is Princo simply a bad brand? Or it's an incompatibility with my writer?

  2. I did a firmware upgrade, but I think things are still strange. Now, even if I record files on media, erasing before, I can't read new files and the old files are still there.
    It's a odd thing.

    Can anybody help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Hacked firmwares may make your DVD-RW functions disappear.
    2. Princo DVD-RW discs aren't great. I gave mine away.

  4. But it's a official firmware update from Pioneer.
    1.06 version.
    My recorder had 1.05.
    Thanks for the advice.
