  1. I am trying to make 1 dvd out of 2 films that are each on 2 vcds.

Thus i have put the 4 megs into tmpgenc and have edited the starting and end points.

    so i have this,

    C:\spiderman 1 00:00:00 44:20.69
    C:\spiderman 2 00:00:00 44:09.98
    C:\batman 1 00:00:37 49:00.07
    C:\batman 2 00:09.54 48:35.81

I presume when i press run it should make 1 large file with both films on but it says the following

File Batman 1.mpg is not compatible with other MPEG File.

What does this mean? Thanks all

  2. Chances are, the 2 movies are different somehow. Probably aspect ratio or video resolution.

So, the first step is finding what the differences are in the 2 movies (using the de-multiplex option in TMPG will give you header info - this info will probably contain the answer). There are other video stream analyzers as well.

I don't know the rest of your "flow", but you should normally only combine the batman's to one file, then the spiderman's to one file. Next, with an authoring tool, create a menu, etc to point to each movie.

The way you are doing it now, you'd have to skip through the 1st movie to get the the 2nd movie. I'd prefer the menu option.
