  1. My InCD version is 3.27.2

I just noticed this recently, I cant seem to get my HP laptop Toshiba DVDrive to read/recognize any CDRWs created using InCD. At first, i thought it may be the cdrw discs but after trying several others of different brands, none of them shows up on the Windows Explorer.
I finally traced it back to InCD. Any insights on this issue?

Is it a hardware compatability issue? or software related?
btw, i'm running Win98SE on both pcs.

    Cheers!

  2. not all DVD-ROM drives can read CD-RWs

try testing the CD-RW on other ppl's DVD-ROM drives..if they can play it..it's most likly that your DVD-ROM doesn't support CD-RWs

  3. You're probably right....i should test the CDRWs on other DVDrives first, perhaps another laptop...and on other OSes
But like I said, i'm a bit convinced that its more of the way I burned it (through InCD) rather than the CDRWs...considering that those same CDRWs worked on my laptop when they were recorded on Nero

    Cheers!

you must have incd (or other packet reading/writing software) installed on the machine that you intend to view the disk with...... incd is packet writing software, disks written by packet writing software can only be accessed by packet reading/writing software, if you havent got packet reading software installed on your laptop you wont be able to access a disk written by incd.

solution .... install incd on your laptop

  5. Geez! :P But of course!
I sort of gotten caught up with the "Use this like a floppy disk" prompt that I automatically assumed that it would still behave like a normal cdrw....instead of becoming "proprietary" with InCD...such a simple solution!

    Thanks!
