Its been like that for 4hours now, itried the files that its created and the audio is there.

Are you using the + version or the freeware ?
If its the + version then its easy to tell when its finished as you have the folders ready to burn.
The log should also say finished and how long it took...
Cant say on the time it will take as it depends on your system and what else is running. Not bothered by small problems...

I had the same problem and ChrissyBoy sent me a new build with a different audio decoder and it worked (see thread - https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=173684)

I think your running into the size limit problem.

I tried it with a small mpg file of about 50mb but that still got stuck at the same point, i left something running over 6hours but nothing happened. Files were being created but the process hadnt finished though
any ideas? do i need this audio update that someone else mentioned -
Try doing an auto update

ok you need to go to the update+ page and get the svcd2dvdmpg+ file (which will be a exe zipped up). Unzip this over your old exe

ok im gonna get that update file
Another thing i tried was that i unchecked the resample audio button and the program skipped that section ran through the process and created the dvd files. the only thing was the initial _dvd file created was just over 800mb and the original merged mpg file was 1.6gb. so when the vob files were created the whole movie wasnt present, and this was thecase when i checked the _dvd file created.
Should this happen, and if i get this to do the whole movie correct, can i change the audio of the vob files to fit the 48000 that i skipped earlier? -
ok tried the updated file but justthe same, still says its resampling to 4800 for ages.
I dont think im ever gonna get some joy out of this program lol : - ( -
thew first time i tried this program it went on for hours and hours in the end i stopped it. the file i was converting was 2 mpegs merged in to one. now i let svcd2dvd+ do the merging and it takes me aprox 430 mins to convert
kinda new to this he he -
I found that when i left it for hours, nothing was happening, even the hard drive wasnt flashing or showing any activity, is that what happened to yours?
-
Dont merge mpegs!!
I find that it takes about 20 mins per 800MB SVCD mpeg if you are authoring. Less is you are producing ES or PS. Add another 5 mins approx per bin file if you are ripping also.SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

Takes me about 35mins 2x 800mb svcd bins ripped & authored .
Got a p4 2.6 800 hyperthread & abit IC7-G m/b . Dont know if the hyper threading makes any difference to this proggrame But it makes a huge difference with movie factory 2
