    I have them both and I guess I don't see why you would ever need to use IC7 because DVDShrink does the same thing in half the time. Maybe I am missing something here?

    IC7 will, in certain cases, produce superior quality output.

    Especially, I think, on high-compression jobs.

    My rule of thumb is:

    Low compression (~10%): CloneDVD
    Medium compression: DVD Shrink, or DVD2One
    High compression: IC7, or re-encode

  4. I agree with Gurm...for high compression jobs IC 7 is quite better than
    Shrink, but needs more time. Another advantage ist: you can change more settings, for you personal preferences...

    gurm hit it on the nose

    for dvds with less than 6.5 gigs of content
    i use dvd shrink

    dvds with more than 6.5 gigs

    instant copy 7

  7. Only things I'm not keen on with DVDShrink is that you can't remove titles (I know you can re-author but it's not the same thing) and that the compression levels are at 5% increments rather than 1% or greater.

    look at smartripper in file mode or in dvd shrink, the biggest title
