  1. Hi thanx to the people who helped me with my last problem.

I have got the files off the DVDs thanx to the software like DVDShrink, but it appears that the DVDs are like 5/6gig and wont fit onto a standard 4.7 gig DVD-R. Is there anyway to compress these files so that they will fit, and they can be played on my home DVD player?

  2. That's the whole point of software like DVDShrink -- did you not understand how it works?

You might want to go through it again (hopefully you are using version 2.3) and note that you can set levels of compression in order to get your backed up movie to fit on one disk -- you want to set those levels until you have no more red at the top. Some disks won't compress down very well, and you'd be better off either removing the extras (and DVDShrink can do this as well) or splitting them among two disks (DVDFab and DVDXCopy can do this).

Everyone wants their hand to be held. I guess they just can't read directions in a guide a simple as DVD Shrink. Go from unknown to known please.
