  1. Hello!
    When I create a SVCD of about 2 hours with DVD2SVCD and TMPGEnc, I generally get 2 files, one with 800~ MB and one with 600~ MB, and they contain about 80mins and 40mins.
    Is there a way to obtain two 800MB files with about 1 hours in each one, using a 2pass variabile bitrate ?
    Thanks!

  2. use a bitrate calculator...just enter the necessary info: https://www.videohelp.com/tools.php#Video%20Bitrate%20Calculators

    however, they usually give a pretty high min bitrate...

    for min bitrate, i would try 300 kbit/s...and max should be 2520 kbit/s

    however, for avg. bitrate, you should use what the bitrate calculators tell you.

  3. I generally use Max=2530, Min=300 and Max avg=2330, but the result is what I said
    Thanks.

  4. max avg???

    you mean just avg. right??

    anyways, how long are the movies you're doing? if you're trying to fit 2+ hour movie onto 2 SVCDs, you're gonna have to lower avg. bitrate to like 1700 kbit/s

  5. I set as it said in this guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/111846.php
    Max: 2530;
    Min: 300;
    Min. avg: disabled;
    Max. avg: 2330;
    Is there anything wrong ?

  6. guess not...

    just use those bitrate calculators i linked to..once you enter in how long the movie is, they should tell you the bitrate you need to use

  7. Ok, it says me calculated bitrate = 1708 and max bitrate = 2556.
    Now I put 2556 instead of 2330, but in which field do I write 1708, Max or Min ?
    Thank you

  8. are you referring to max or max avg.???

    why don't u do like you did before?

    max = 2556
    max avg. = 1708
    min avg. = disabled
    min = 300

    see if that works...

    how long is the movie, btw
