Hi m8s!
I'm a total newbie to VCD. Just bought a Limit 8080SE from Richer Sounds in UK. VCD is fine, MP3 fine, but when I try to play Chicken Run DVD the picture flashes light and dark continually. The DVD works fine on my PS2, so it's not the disk. But I do have the Limit connected to my VCR input and from there to the TV; is it Macrovision protection that's affecting the picture quality?

It definitely sounds like Macrovision. Hook up the DVD player directly to your television if possible.
