Ok, so I got an AVI file that I want to turn into 2 VCDs to watch via DVD player.
First of all I used DIVXDoctor to turn into a MOV file (680Mb). So far so good. When I try to use toast or quicktime to turn into a burn-able VCD image it won't get as far as creating the MPG file for me to split as it says its too big to fit on a VCD. Aaaargh - I know this. Help???

Your video cd can only hold a max file size for the mpeg file. whats the mpeg file size?
Generally, I take the whole .mov, copy 1/2 of it with quicktime, open a new quicktime movie and paste that 1/2 into it. then export. This will be the 1st vcd.
Repeat for 2nd half and you should be good to go. -
*slaps himself on head with own stupidity* - so THATs what the triangles at the bottom of the QT window do!
Cheers!
