Just bought theses and they are original TDK's good quality disks, no coasters. Hurry cause they wont last at these prices.

If you just recently bought them at $189.99 take your receipt back to them and they'll reimburse you the difference.

  2. You should just wait a week or two until they have the same discs on sale for $129 like they do every month.

Talk about over-exaggerating..lol...Best Buy only had that $129 sale on TDK media once, and it was ONLY on 4X DVD+R TDK media, NOT DVD-R. Best Buy's sale came one week after Target starting stocking the TDK disks...and Target had BOTH formats on sale $29.99 for a 20 pack.

But I will agree on one thing..and that is that $169 for those disks is too highly priced..even on sale...when you consider the last 4 or 5 sales from all retailers on the same 4x media.

  4. I think the price of DVD media is going to be going down. For example in the last week I see the price of the cheapest DVD-R media has already dropped to $0.71 each in 100 packs and I believe at allmedia they have some off brand 4x media going for $82 each. It would be sweet to see good 2x media for less that $0.50 and 4x for around $0.75.

Oh, there's no question about it...Disturbed1 posted an article a couple of months ago which said that for various reasons DVD media would decrease by about 25% over the months to come, while CD media would increase by 10%.

When the 8x burners get released and 8x media follows...that's only gonna decrease 1-4x media prices as well. Right now the online sites have adjusted their prices some recently....but not enough. The legit 4x media is still much higher online then it is in retailers. I love the people who say .."well, you can't take into account sales prices"....lmao..and why not...it's not like these incredible sales happen once a year...they are happening each and every week...and although they may not be as low as the best price of $1.20 for high quality 4x media each time...the prices are right there.

When you take those insanely low sales prices week in and week out...and add them to the fact that you don't have to pay for shipping or at the LEAST ..WAIT FOR SHIPPING....I can't see any reason right now to buy 4x media online..... 1x media..yes....2x media..yes...but not 4x...no way..no how.
