I made a dvd with this software and burned with copytodvd but the menu's I created didnt get made...Does anyone know anything about this software? Should I have burned with a different software?
Also, to convert avi's I should use TMPGenc free? The reason I ask is that the dvd author version says it doesnt support avi conversion...

1) You should use TMPGEnc to encode videos, as it is one of the best encoders, at a reasonable price. Try it, then BUY it.
2) I use IMGTool to make my .iso file after TMPG Author, then I burn with DVD Decrypter. Never had a problem. Both of these programs are free to try & voluntary to buy.
Part of making DVDs is finding out what works best & is simplest for you. Another's opinions & experiences might not be valid for you. Experiment ! -
Well, the dvd works, it just didnt create the menus that I had made for it...Just wondering what really happened.

Tmpgenc DVD Author defaults to play the movie. You have to set it to play the menu first.
Make sure under First Play Option when creating the menu... you select Display menu -
no menus in the final product indicates there is something wrong in your authgroing process in TMPGEnc DVD Author. The burning process jjust burn the data onto the media .
