Pioneer 454 and VCD

Does anyone tried to play VCD with menus/chapters on Pioneer 454?

I cannot access menu/chapters, I can only play movie. When I display info about the disc, it says that there is only one track.
I know for sure, that there is a menu and chapters, because I played it on WinDVD.

HI there, The very same happens in my case. Pioneer d-454, (S)VCD with menu and chapters, but when tried to play them there is nothing to use. Just one track, one movie, one chance. I made chapters with Nero vision, VCDeasy, VCDXbuild but nothing seems to help. Is this anything due just to the player or is there something else? Please Help!!

This might sound too primitive - but have you turned on PBC (Playback Control) on the DVD player?

Not primitive at all. I do not know the specific player but since it is a Pioneer - there is usually a button on the front panel which turns on/turn off PBC. In the player's LED display window, it should show:

- PBC or PLAYBACK, when PBC is on
- just VCD when PBC is off
