Region 1 rentals in UK

Does anyone know any web sites or stores that do region 1 rentals in the UK. i hate to wait for dvds to be released on region 2 to view them. mainly due to region 1 containing the complete movie where region 2 dvds have the cut scenes as a reslt of certificate restrictions.

I would think no legitimate local business would carry non-region media as the whole point of region encoding is to keep certain areas of the world from getting certain things at certain times, or for censorship issues. I think you can only order from a company in Region 1 and have it sent to you, though I think some of the larger companies won't deliver Region 1 to other regions. Also Region 1 is NTSC format, did you plan on doing a conversion or just watching it on your PC?

You can buy R1 disks in the UK from www.play.com

I don't know of any rentals though, probably because of what rallynavvie says.

www.play.com is a top site for buying discs. Does not help with rentals though, sorry
