My computer was rebuilt with the WIN XP OS . After that TMPGenc which was doing a great job of converting avi to mpg, only saw the audio stream of the avi. The avi's play fine in media player or the xvid player.
This is a consistent problem… even old files that I used to to be able to convert before won't now.
I selected TMPGenc and reinstalled the latest version but that didn't help. It says it is supposed to work with XP. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks, in advance for any thoughts,
Michael

During the rebuild ...did you maybe loose some of the codecs?

It is possible i missed one. I tried reloading them but I will review it and make sure everything is reinstalled.
Thanx 4 the suggestion. I will let you know how it works after I get home tonight.

Thanks, Wee,
I searched my old hard drive file for all codecs... even stuff I never really used and reinstalled everything. Now it works.
Thanks again,
Michael
