  2. I don't know who makes the Imation DVD blanks, but Office Depot has a better sale right now--two 25 packs of Philips blanks for $59.95. I think the Philips are 2.4X media. It works out to a $1.20 each before tax. The Imations work out to $1.40 a piece before tax

  9. I bought them last week. A DVD Plus Identifier utility says they are RICOHJPN-R00-01, 2.4X (advertised speed was 2X). I burned one movie, and it plays fine from my Sony DRU-510A it was recorded on, but it does not play on my Memorex MVD2027 DVD player. Supposedly the MVD2027 plays +R, so now I wonder if it's the player or the disc. Anyone have any ideas?

  12. Thanks for the info, Ellandry. I'm a little frustrated, and hoping I didn't throw away $70. I tried playing that DVD-R in a PS2 also, and it wouldn't recognize it either (although the reviews here say it will). I'd say for sure it's the burned DVD, but as I said, it plays in the DRU-510A that recorded it perfectly. So, I don't know if I should just go buy some DVD-Rs or what.
