  1. Pinnacle DC10+ in WinXP

I got Studio 7 to work under WinXP but I cannot get it to display in applications like PoverVCR II or WinVCR. AM Capture works but display quality is very poor.

At one time (6 or so months ago) I got it working but upgraded recently and reinstalled WinXP. I recall some sort of hack but can’t remember much more.

    Anyone have a clue?

I'm running Studio AV DC10+ under XP and I don't have any problems. They have updated drivers on Pinnacle's website. You might want to give those a try.

Yeah but does it work in PowerVCR or WinVCR or any other simple display applications.
Yes, I can capture just fine with Studio7 but I want to also display in a desktop viewer.
Do you know what I mean?

  4. I believe DC10+ does not support as many 3th party softwares under XP as it did
under ME/98. The only softwares which work with DC10+ under XP for sure are the
Studio 7/8 itself and AMCAP. Software like AVI_IO used to work with DC10+ under
older OS no longer works under XP. I read it somewhere that cause of the problem
is due to DC10+ changed its driver under XP.

  5. iuvcr also works but when I select the display option the picture is somewhat jerky foor some reason. However when I capture (Duron 1.3G 512M memory going to 5400 40G drive on secondary IDE channel) I can capture 4000kb/sec with no frame drops and only about 20% CPU
