    hi,i just used dvd shrink to extract 4.12gig dvd(not original) dvd to hard drive.i now have several vob files.i had to give the disc back today so i was woundering if i can still make svcd without the disc and just use vob files.i read in left side regarding dvd2svcd,but this only seems to work by inserting the dvd from the drive.any help please?

    thanks anyway.i managed to find a few progs to do the job.dvd2avi being one of them

    Yes. If you rip the full DVD you can use it as a source. To make life easier I recommend ripping the DVD to an ISO image file (only takes up one file instead of several files in multiple dirs) and then mount the image as necessary with Daemon Tools.
