My Hp 100i cant read "platinum dvd+rw", why?

I finally found an affordable dvd+rw media (I live in Sweden, where its very expensive), but when I put it in my writer, it cant read the disc and nero hangs.

Anyone knows a sollution to the problem?

How can I see what firmware I am using?

-Nero
-Firmware
-Drivers

Firmware and Nero are up to date.. but what drivers do you mean?

I really want this to work, because the platinum discs "only" cost 4-5 dollars (compared to the usual 6-7 dollars).

The media code is RICOHJPNW01?
I got some Memorex RW with the same code and they work great for me.

Maybe it`s a bad batch.
Try to take them back.

If you burn lots of discs you need to consider getting another writer
that works with write-once (DVDR) media.
RW media is too expensive (there)
