I used DVD Decrypter to decrypt dvd to ISO file and got .I00 and .I01 files instead. Question is why did I not get an .iso file.

i'm not exactly sure, but could it be you're hdd is formated at FAT32 (i.e. if you have win98)
because FAT32 limits file sizes to 4 gig, when dvddecryptor is creating an .iso image file, for anything that's over the 4 gig limit, dvddecryptor will split the .iso file up for you. hence, you have 2 files (under the 4 gig limit) instead of 1 big .iso image file (over 4 gig limit).
you will be able to burn those files onto DVD-R/+R with dvddecryptor, but i'm not sure if any other burning proggie will recognize them. -
Thanks!
I am using WinXP and have 20Gigs available space, I am wondering wether the DVD I tried to rip was too big??
One more question if you dont mind... under DVD Decrypter it said that the DVD was a "1 layer DVD" but the size of the DVD was 47,000 KB does that still make it a 5 or is it a DVD 9??

You have to be running NTFS as a drive file system to avoid the problem. Most home XP systems run FAT32.

Thanks for all the help ppl! Like I said before I am as green as they come!! (at least for the time being) and I appreciate your help.

Again, Thanx for all the help!
I have to try to burn using File Mode!
This is getting to be quite fun
I am also going to reformat my hard drive and this time go NTFS.
thanks!!!_(¯`·.·*D~RaBB!T*·.·´¯)_ -

beware, some burning proggies (i.e. copy2dvd) makes an .iso image of the DVD files right before it's about to burn. in my case, the file was being truncated at 3.99 GB, so the resulting DVD-R was messed up. -
Thanx!!
I backed up a few of my dvd's using the "file" mode.
Thanx for all your help._(¯`·.·*D~RaBB!T*·.·´¯)_ -
.100 & .101 are the iso files but because the original movie is over 4gb in size dvd decrypter has split the image, check the folder where you saved the .100 .101 files, there should also be a .mds file ( if there isnt then rip the disk again) use dvd decrypter in iso write mode and select the .mds file as the source to write it will then write the .100 & .101 files to the dvdr as one complete iso image
the above only applies to those using fat 32 (win 98/me) file structure as ntfs file structure (win xp/2000) will save the movie as 1 complete .iso image (you must be using ntfs file structure with winxp/2000 if you are using fat 32 then it will save as split files the same as win 98/me does)
