Nero won't see my dvd writer... HELP please!

I have just bought a Pioneer 106 DVD writer and am very happy with it... but for some reason... Nero wont see it.
Does anyone know why as Ilike Nero but now cannot use it.

get the latest version of nero . 6.0.0.9

(how can you be happy with it if you can't use it?)

I doubt that's the problem - I bet he's using a version that came with a different drive... or a copy of dubious source.

If you bought say a Yamaha CD-R drive and Nero came with that, it's probably locked to Yamaha, and thus will NOT work with the Pioneer due to licensing issues.

When you've got that issue sorted, don't forget to change the drop down box from CD to DVD and to change the recorder option from the menu to select which drive you want to use.
