  1. I purchased a Daewoo DVDS200 player a few days ago. There was NO (NONE) information available on that player online. I decided to bye it anyway as it was REALLY cheap and it would be my first player.

So far so good. It handles DVD well. Also tested with VCD, MP3-CD, MPEG1 on data-CD.

The player has component/s-video out, coaxial digital audio out, 2-channel analog audio out.

The remote control looks exactly like the one for the DAEWOO DVD-8000F player as seen in pictures online. In the manual, a diagram of the rear of the unit show the name "Dangaard". I've never heard of them.

The player does NOT have the DTS label on the front.

It was a Region 4 (Central America, etc) player out of the box, but in the box there was also a large sticker with remote control instructions on how to make the player regionless. It plays all of my Region 1 DVDs. I live in Trinidad and Tobago (an English speaking twin-island republic in the Caribbean). Most other players sold in this country are Region 1.

Has anyone else seen or heard of this player. I'd like some info about compatability with DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD+R/DVD+RW especially.

    Thanks.

  2. UPDATE:

I have tested the player with SVCD. That works fine as well.

  3. UPDATE:

Tested with DVD-R. Again, it works.

Too bad I can't add a listing for this player because there is no product link available... I have this player for real, but I can find nothing about it online...
