    How can I convert Quicktime file to a mepeg file?

  2. if you have toast, you can simply use the "export to video cd" option in qt (or toast). if not, ffmpegx works great. you can get more help with that app if you need it in the ffmpegx forum.

    it also depends on what mpeg you want to go to

    mpeg-1 (VCD)
    mpeg-2 (SVCD/DVD)

    Quicktime Pro will export to mpeg-1 as a "toast VCD" under the EXPORT option of your file menu.

    If you have DVD STUDIO PRO, you have a mpeg-2 export option that will export out a mpeg2.
